Mpumalanga Black Aces have expressed relief as Felix Mwamba-Musasa will finally be available for selection.
The Congolese defender had been banned from football for four months after he was found guilty of misconduct relating to unsportsmanlike behavior and assault by the PSL's disciplinary committee.
This followed an incident on May 24 in the promotion play-off match between Carara Kicks and Black Aces when his challenge on Buti Ngulube resulted in the player suffering a transverse fracture of the right tibia and fibula.
Musasa was also fined R100 000, of which R90 000 was suspended for 12 months.
The Aces man missed nine matches, but it looks like he will be back in the starting eleven sooner than expected, owing to injuries and suspensions to three key defenders at the club.
"Musasa's suspension ends on October 9, which means that he will be available to play on Saturday, October 17, against SuperSport United in our next league match at the Puma Rugby stadium," club PRO Thabo Moroape told Football365.co.za.
"It is a big relief for us, because Shere Lekgothoane is serving a suspension after he got a red card when we lost to Santos over the weekend and obviously you know we have suspended Lucas Tlhomelang as his case for (allegedly using a banned substance) is still pending. Thirdly, Tebogo Monyai had been playing with injury as he understood that we were very thin at the back. We are delighted that Musasa's suspension is finally coming to an end. It is really a big relief, because he has a lot of experience at this level of the game," Moroape concluded.
