Felix Musasa has urged Mpumalanga Black Aces fans to calm down following a string of bad results that saw them lose three of their four last matches and welcomed the international break.

The string of bad results resulted in Sammy Troughton losing his job, with Aiki Ayiomamitis returning for his second spell with the side.

He told the club's official website: "People must understand that this is our maiden season in the Absa Premiership, and the challenges of adapting in the Premiership plus the hectic league schedule has pilled pressure on the players.

"It is for this reason that I am of the view that the two days off came at the right time as we will resume training with fresh minds."

'Amazayoni' lost their last game 2-1 against Ajax Cape Town. Before that they played to a 3-3 draw against Kaizer Chiefs, matches Musasa believes could have gone their way.

"The results in those two games could have favoured us, especially the one against Chiefs after we took a 3-1 lead before half-time, but at the end we paid a heavy price after the lapse in concentration.

"The same applied during our game against Ajax who had taken the lead in the early minutes of the game before we leveled matters, however at the end it was Ajax who emerged victors as we lost concentration in the dying minutes."

New coach Ayiomamitis first hurdle will be against Mamelodi Sundowns which the defender describes as a must win. Thomric October and Sibusiso Dabi are likely to be back after missing the previous clashes due to injuries.

"The two players were not part of the team in the past two matches due to injuries, but I think they will be ready come November 22. Even good news is that we will be welcoming Jacob Machaka who missed the game against Ajax due to suspension.

"This is one of the toughest games which we must win at all costs, and I am appealing to our fans to come and support us like they always do as we need them the most," Musasa concluded.
