Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Josta Dladla is expecting a tough game when he comes up against his former side Mamelodi Sundowns.
Dladla joined Chiefs from Chloorkop in the January transfer window and has been a revelation, especially after coach Vladimir Vermezovic switched his position from the wing to the centre of the park.
He told The Citizen: "We are finally starting to play good football and I am confident that we will give Sundowns a run for their money.
"It is always a challenge coming up against your former team-mates, but I will be up for the battle."
Both sides go into the match on the back of convincing wins, with Amakhosi beating Ajax Cape Town 3-0 and the Brazilians defeating Maritzburg United 5-1.
"I think that both teams are hitting form at the right time and the game will make for an interesting encounter," added Dladla.
"A victory for either of us will see us move closer to the leaders, so we will both be fired up to collect maximum points and the fans should be in for an exciting match."
Sundowns defender Mathew Booth, who is likely to make his return after an injury lay off, shares Dladla's sentiments.
"I am feeling much better now and I am ready to play.
"The match against Chiefs will be very tough, but we are determined to build on our victory against Maritzburg," Booth said.
