Vladimir Vermezovic believes that Kaizer Chiefs will continue picking up points if they stick to their playing style.

'Amakhosi' recorded a 1-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday night after playing to a 3-3 shock draw with Black Aces in midweek.

"Going back to the Free State Stars game, I think we were a better team throughout especially in the second half where we put the ball down and started to play according to our strengths," the coach told the club's official website.

"I always tell my players to keep knocking the ball around even when we are under pressure... 'Play your normal game', I always tell them."

The Serbian was under pressure following the draw with Aces, in which he rested several key players. However, he pointed to Nkosinathi Nhleko's winner off the bench to indicate that even his bit-part charges have an integral role in the squad.

"On Wednesday we rested most of the players like Yeye (Reneilwe Letsholonyane, Josta (Dladla) and others. I continue to believe in all my players. Chippa (Nhleko) came off the bench to hand us a winner against Free State Stars and this shows that everyone in the group is important," Vermezovic added.

'Amakhosi' are now sixth in the standings and are eight points adrift of SuperSport. Vermezovic wants his men to keep working on reducing that gap.

"It is very important for me to stay calm and we cannot start thinking we are world beaters after winning just one game. It is very important that we remain focus and calm under pressure," he concluded.
