Kaizer Chiefs Goalkeeper Arthur Bartman believes that the rest period the players are experiencing will stand them in good stead when the action resumes against Santos on Friday, 20 November.
Following six matches in the past eighteen days Amakhosi is on a two week break, allowing players to hone their skills on the practice field.
Speaking to the club's official website Bartman revealed:
"The coach is keeping us fresh and I must say that judging by the training methods we have been following at training the two weeks break will not have a major impact on our game."
"We have played no less than six games since we played Mamelodi Sundowns mid October and all of a sudden we take a two weeks break and that sometimes can break the momentum."
Their most recent win against Free State stars left the team feeling confident for the clash against Santos.
"What worked on that game is that we defended as a team. There was better communication amongst us, which was not the case against Mpumalanga Black Aces. We have put that behind us now and it is very important that we build from the Free Sate Stars victory when we meet Santos in Cape Town next week."
