Former SuperSport United striker Shingi Kawondera has warned Knowledge Musona to stay grounded after the Kaizer Chiefs' teenage sensation received rave reviews from the South African media.

The 19-year-old, plucked from Zimbabwe's Division One side, Aces Youth Academy, after catching the eyes of a Chiefs' scouting party, has made a huge impact at the Amakhosi this season.

His Cypriot-based countryman, Kawondera, is convinced that the 19-year-old striker is a special player and believes he needs to remain focused if he is to realise his full potential.

"He is certainly a rare talent. He just needs to stay focused and work extra hard and the rest will fall into place," Kawondera told Football365.co.za.

"He will get all the good reviews in the media but he must not get carried away by that because he still has a lot to achieve in football,"

Kawondera, who turns out for Nea Salamina in the Cypriot First Division, had an unsuccessful stint with defending league champions SuperSport.

Musona, the former Zimbabwe Under-17 captain, was bought by Johannesburg giants Kaizer Chiefs in June this year together with fellow countrymen, Thomas Sweswe and Zhaimu Jambo.

The club's decision to search for players in Zimbabwe in a bid to beef up their squad ahead of the 2009/10 season was widely criticised with some sarcastically tagging it a 'buy one and get two free' deal.
