A topless bus transported the players from the City Centre, via the N2, through to the Cape Flats townships.
The route included Athlone, Manenberg, Guguletu, Nyanga, Kalksteenfontein, Bontehuewel and Langa before rejoining the N2 highway back to the city.
The 'Urban Warriors' paraded the Absa Cup trophy during this tour, giving their loyal supporters and the citizens of the 'Mother City' the opportunity to join the team in celebration of their 2-0 victory over Mamelodi Sundowns in the final of the 'Cup of Dreams' on Saturday, May 26.
Before leaving the city for the Cape Flats, the Ajax entourage made an impromptu visit to the offices of the Department of Sports and Cultural Affairs to share the moment of triumph with MEC for Sport and Recreation, Whitey Jacobs, and his staff.
The bus then proceeded on its route through the Cape Flats before returning to town where the Ajax players ended their tour on the steps of the Provincial government building, where two 'Urban Warriors' supporters were elected to represent their team at the presentation of the provincial budget speech.
