World Cup local Organising Committee CEO Dr Danny Jordaan has rubbished Dr Irvin Khoza's legal bid to challenge the South African Football Association's presidential election process.

Jordaan and Khoza both pulled out of the race leaving Kirsten Nematandani to be elected as SAFA president unopposed.

Khoza's camp labelled the process 'a farce' and questioned the eligibility of Jordaan in a strongly-worded statement from the Premier Soccer League, which is chaired by the Iron Duke.

However, Jordaan believes Khoza's posturing is much ado about nothing.

"I withdrew from the election, the other candidate withdrew. There was only one candidate so there was no election," Jordaan told The Cape Times.

"If there is only one candidate, then that person is duly appointed."
