Black Leopards have just 90 minutes to salvage their Absa Premiership status, following their shock 0-1 defeat to Bay United in the first leg of the Promotion Play-offs semi-finals on Wednesday.
The two teams will meet again in the second leg at the Malamulele Stadium on Sunday at 3pm; a match Leopards have to win in order to keep their top-flight survival chances alive.
Acting Leopards coach Paul Dolezar was stunned when the Port Elizabeth-based NFD Coastal Stream runners-up beat Leopards 1-0 in the first leg played at PE's Woolfson's Stadium on Wednesday.
Dolezar, who accepted a short-term contact to assist Leopards during the play-offs, was almost speechless after the shock loss. He did not mince his words.
"There will be changes. It was not just a bad performance; it was a very bad performance. The players need to start taking this seriously and not joke about on the field," Dolezar told SAPA.
He added: "Unless we start playing
with urgency and heart we will be playing in the National First Division next season.
"This is our last chance. If we fail, we go down."
Dolezar said that he would bring in a more attacking players and go for broke.
"If we do not fight for every second of the next 90 minutes we can kiss the PSL goodbye. I want to see a huge improvement in the attitude and performance," concluded the former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns mentor.
