Jomo Cosmos skipper Avril Phali insists that his side need to start converting their goalscoring chances.

'Ezenkosi' have lost just two of their opening six fixtures, but their inability to find the back of the net has seen them draw three matches which they could have easily won.

Their exploits in front of goal will need to change if they hope to get anything from their encounter against SuperSport United on Tuesday, with Phali admitting that the side are in a positive mood.

The goalkeeper told the club's official website: "We have to take every chance that comes our way, because we do create these it is a question of putting them away.

"We are on the right track judging from our away draw against Santos. It is never easy in the windy Cape and the boys showed character to come from behind and snatch a draw.

"The saying goes that you are as good as your last game and we had a good game and are positive going into tonight's (Tuesday's) game."

'Matsatsantsa' are difficult opponents for the best around and Phali insists that they will respect that fact when the two teams clash at the Rand Stadium.

He added: "United are having a good run of form and are recently from a good win against Moroka Swallows who they thumped 4-2.

"They have a good side that's very competitive coupled with an astute coach in Gavin Hunt.

"These are the league's defending champions and we respect that."
