Ajax Cape Town have confirmed their submission of a formal complaint to the PSL over Kaizer Motaung Junior's derogatory goal celebration at Newlands on Sunday.
The Kaizer Chiefs striker drew first blood in a 3-0 win against the Urban Warriors and ran over to former coach Muhsin Ertugral before making a few inappropriate gestures.
Reports suggest that other than illustrating to the Turkish mentor that he talked to much, the 26-year-old also showed him the middle finger.
Junior and Ertugral didn't enjoy the best of relationships at Naturena and the tactician was less than impressed by the forward's actions.
"I personally feel a bit humiliated. The issue with Kaizer Jr got under my skin. It's not on and I feel the player needs to be punished," he said.
Ajax CEO George Comitis confirmed the club have written a letter to PSL prosecutor Zola Majavu and are hoping the player is handed some form of sanction.
The league's media officer Altaaf Kazi has revealed that the matter will be looked in to.
