Orlando Pirates winger Phenyo Mongala is looking forward to facing Bloemfontein Celtic on Sunday after recovering from abdomen pains.

The 24-year-old made his league debut in the 1-1 draw against Maritzburg United and impressed the Bucs faithful. However. he failed to complete the clash due to aches in his stomach.

"I think I was having a fair game considering that it was my first official match for the club. But late in the second half I asked the coach to replace me because I had pain in my stomach, just below my ribs," Mongala told Pirates' official website.

"Maybe I was trying too hard to make an impression and try to assist my club get back to winning ways, forgetting that I have not played in any competitive match in the past, that's why I had complications during the course of the match."

However, the talented flanker will be fit for the visit of Phunya Sele Sele. Team doctor Thabiso Mmoledi explained: "It's true Phenyo Mongala did complain of pains below his ribs.

"I assessed him after he was replaced in the second half of the match and found out that he was suffering from muscular cramps. Luckily it's not so serious; he will be fine and should be available for selection for our next match against Bloemfontein Celtic."
