Skipper Mogogi Gabonamong insists the fact that Santos have secured third position in the standings is no fluke.

The Botswana international revealed his team-mates are ready to challenge SuperSport United for the title.

"We are ready to challenge whoever is at the top. It is possible we can win the title and we have done very well to be where we are at the moment. The spirit is so high in camp I wouldn't rule anything out at this stage," he told Football365.co.za.

"I think the one thing that has worked for us this season is that we had a very good pre-season. We prepared very well and the other thing is if you look at our statistics, there is myself, Wayne Arendse and Tshepo Motsoeneng who have played all the games and others that have played in almost all the games, so we have developed understanding on the pitch and it is helping us get the results."
