Kaizer Chiefs defender Valery Nahayo is looking forward to getting back into action after a four month lay off due to a groin injury.

The Burundi international, who impressed during pre-season training, has not featured for the side in the PSL this term after he picked up an injury during the pre-season preparations.

He told the club's website: "It is for the first time that I have had to stay this long on the sidelines due to injury. I'd usually be out for less than a week but this time around it was different.

"I am grateful for the support I have received from everyone at Chiefs. I am now hoping to start full time training and hopefully next month I can start playing.

"I should be joining my teammates for full training hopefully by next week."
