Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Mandla Masango has vowed to cement a place in 'Amakhosi's starting line-up.

The 20-year-old has found himself out-of-favour at the Naturena outfit since travelling with the South African Under-20 side to Egypt in September.

But the Amajita player has been working hard on his fitness in the past few weeks and believes he is now ready to fight for his spot in Vladimir Vermezovic's side.

He told the club's official website: "I am fit now, all that is left is match fitness.

"I have been working hard since coming back from Egypt and I am now waiting for the coach to give me an opportunity.

"The competition is always very tough at Chiefs. It is upon myself to work hard at training like I have done in the past couple of weeks."
