Kaizer Chiefs' Head of Development Walter Steenbok believes Reneilwe Letsholonyane is starting to translate his club form into success at international level.
The 27-year-old featured in South Africa's recent friendlies against Japan and Jamaica and caught the eye with his energetic performances in the middle of the park.
Letsholonyane suffered a horror leg injury in pre-season but made a successfully return in September. After just one match back, the midfielder was called up by then national team coach Joel Santana and started against Madagascar.
Since then 'Yeye' has been the stand-out performer for 'Amakhosi' and Steenbok isn't surprised.
"Yeye has improved tremendously this season," he told the club's official website.
"He has really worked on his weaknesses and credit should go to him and the rest of the technical team at the club. His work rate is unbelievable. Reneilwe can play both short and long passing game and that has added variation in his game.
He added: "He is able to link up both defence and attack because of his game intelligence, endurance capacity and overall creativity. His ability to create and score goals has been crucial in his new found form for the team and that can be translated to Bafana Bafana."
