Orlando Pirates boss Ruud Krol is set to be minus the services of Bafana Bafana midfielder Teko Modise for their tie against AmaZulu on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old missed the Buccaneers game against Wits at the weekend with a knee injury and has not recovered in time for Wednesday clash with the Usuthu at the Orlando Stadium.

"Teko Modise was withdrawn from the team on the eve of Saturday's match against Wits after complaining of what is known as poplitious inflammation," 'Bucs' biokineticist Mandy-Lee Solomons told the club's official website.

"He attended training this morning as usual, but didn't partake in the session with the rest of the team as he is still receiving treatment.

"Teko has an appointment with our physiotherapist John Williams this afternoon for another session because we are trying our best to ensure that he recovers in time to make the squad."

"Although we will be working around the clock to help Teko recover as soon as he possibly can...it doesn't look like he will make the squad for Wednesday's match against AmaZulu, maybe for the game at the weekend."
