Kaizer Chiefs defender Thomas Sweswe has tipped Itumeleng Khune, Siphiwe Tshabalala and Reneilwe Letsholonyane to make Bafana Bafana's World Cup squad.

The trio traveled to Brazil with the South African squad for a month-long camp as Carlos Alberto Parreira looks to get his side ready for the global showpiece.

"Their chances of winning places in the World Cup squad are high because they are all good players and they have all done well in the friendlies that Bafana have played so far," Sweswe told Football365.co.za.

"The fact that Parreira picked them for the Brazil camp shows that he believes in them.

"It's now up to them to continue working hard to cement their places in the final squad."

While the training camp will no doubt be beneficial for both the players and the team itself, the Zimbabwean admits the trio will be sorely missed by Amakhosi in the Telkom Knockout.

Sweswe continued: "We will definitely miss those boys because they are all important members of the team and it would have been nicer to have them when we play in this competition.

"But what they have gone for is a worthy cause, as they are representing the entire nation. So we want to win the cup for them since they are likely to represent Chiefs at the World Cup."

Chiefs' first match in the 2010 Telkom Knockout is against Santos in Cape Town and Sweswe knows playing away from home will not be easy.

"At least we have more time to prepare for the game but I know it won't be easy playing away in Cape Town," added the former Dynamos centre-back.

"Santos are a good team and everyone saw how they performed in the league in the just-ended season. But we will have to work hard and progress to the next stage."
