Maritzburg United will look to continue on their winning ways when they travel to Mpumalanga to take on Mpumalanga Black Aces in an Absa Premiership match at the Puma Rugby Stadium on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7.30pm).

United are coming into this match fresh off a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows in their last league match. The solitary goal was scored by none other than Fadlu Davids.

Aces on the other hand, are coming into this game off the back of a dull and dreary 0-0 draw against AmaZulu in their last league match. In their last five games the Mpumalanga side has only picked up two points.

At present five places and ten points separate the two sides on the league table. Maritzburg are in tenth place on 31 points while Aces are in 15th spot on 21 points.

When the two sides met each other in a league clash earlier in the 2009/10 PSL season Maritzburg managed a 1-0 win.

That fixture earlier in the season is the only time the two teams have ever faced each other. The goal scorer in that game was again Fadlu Davids, who has proven very influential for United over the years.
