Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Quinton Fortune signed for English Championship club Doncaster on a short-term contract on Tuesday.

Fortune, 32, impressed during a trial with Sean O'Driscoll's side and the former Manchester United player could make his debut in the season opener at Watford on Saturday.

The Cape Town-born star, who spent seven years at Old Trafford, played for Belgian club Tubize last season but opted for a return to England after being released.

"Doncaster Rovers Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Quinton Fortune on a short-term contract," a statement on the club's website confirmed.
