Ruud Krol has warned his Orlando Pirates charges that the 3-1 win over Bloemfontein Celtic was just the start of eradicating the club's poor form.
Katlego Mashego's brace and a Lucas Thwala header at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday ensured that Bucs would not endure their eighth match without victory.
The Soweto giants struggled to keep setting the pace in the PSL since the decisive month of October and have now managed to score more than one goal in a game just twice.
As the efforts went in for Pirates, the Dutch coach looked relieved in the dugout, but admitted the hard work isn't over yet.
"We are not home and dry yet. There is still a lot of work to do. This was a good win but we cannot get carried away," he said after the game.
The Bucs 'boss' kept an off-form Teko Modise on the bench for some much-needed rest, while Phenyo Mongala wrecked havoc on the left side of midfield.
"When a player is not performing, the coach has to make changes and that is what I did and I am happy with the outcome," added Krol.
Pirates entertain Ajax Cape Town in their next league encounter on November 21. Three points against the 'Urban Warriors' will see 'Bucs' climb closer to league leaders SuperSport, who are currently six points better off.
