Gert Schalkwyk is looking forward to facing his former employers in South Africa's biggest football clash on Saturday.

The Orlando Pirates attacker will face Kaizer Chiefs for the first time since joining their arch rivals in a sold-out Soweto derby at Orlando Stadium.

The Ventersdorp-born man missed the reverse fixture in October and is raring to receive a starting berth this time around.

"I am looking forward to the Chiefs game on Saturday," he told Football365.co.za.

"A lot of times you will battle to get the players motivated, but when you play against Chiefs you don't have a problem motivating the players. It is a motivation in itself."

Schalkwyk insists that Bucs have been looking good in training, despite their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Maritzburg United on Wednesday night.

"Our preparations have been going well, and the least we can do is to be supportive to the guys who will be starting the game, and I am looking forward to be part of the starting line up after missing our first round encounter," he concluded.

Only 34 000 tickets were put on sale for the Soweto showpiece, which would make it one of the smallest crowds to have graced the clash in recent years.
