Orlando Pirates captain Lehlohonolo Seema believes his side has what it takes to overcome their bitter rivals Kaizer Chiefs.

The Soweto giants clash in arguably the biggest match of the season from the perspective of the supporters on Saturday afternoon.

The match has an extra dimension to it this time around, with both clubs eager to finish the campaign in third position.

Seema is confident of a victory for Bucs, despite their current poor form, and admits that his team-mates are itching to get on to the pitch.

The Lesotho international told the club's official website: "Our recent results have been of great concern. The derby comes on the back of a disappointing defeat to Maritzburg United but people shouldn't look too much into that result...the derby is a totally different ball game.

"We know the derby comes with a lot of pressure, but we are very excited because it's a very big game for the players and our supporters.

"We have already taken steps in preparing for the Chiefs match on Saturday. This is one football fixture that brings the whole country to a standstill; hence victory for any of the two clubs is worth more than gold."

Seema also sent out a warning to Amakhosi that Pirates will not give anything away on Saturday, regardless of whether this is a milestone year for the Naturena-based outfit or not.

He added: "We acknowledge Chiefs are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and victory over Pirates will certainly be the cherry on top. But they must be warned - We are not a charitable organization and therefore we will not be donating any points as pride above anything else is at stake.

"Victory on Saturday will not only be a great present for our supporters but also serve as motivation ahead of the Telkom Knockout and Nedbank Cup competitions."
