Orlando Pirates head coach Ruud Krol is hoping some of his players can recover from injury during their break from action.
The 'Bucs' do not have a match this weekend as the second half of the Telkom Knockout last-16 fixtures take place.
This will give Krol the ideal chance to work with his players and will allow his injured stars some much-needed rest.
The Dutch mentor told the club's official website: "I am hoping we can benefit from this week-long break, as to afford the injured players enough time to recover for the last eight stage of the competition.
"I've got players such as Thembinkosi Fanteni and Congo (referring to Lebogang Mothibantwa) who are recovering from their respective injuries...we need to assess how far they are in terms of regaining match fitness and if they can be involved in the preparations for the quarter-finals."
Pirates beat Bloemfontein Celtic 1-0 in the first round of the Telkom Knockout last weekend.
