Bafana Bafana defender Lucas Thwala believes this season presents Orlando Pirates with their best chance to win the league.
The 'Buccaneers' take on Platinum Stars on Wednesday evening and the 27-year-old is in a confident mood.
Ruud Krol's men are top of the standings after six games and have not conceded a goal yet.
"My wish is that we never concede goals. We haven't conceded a goal in the league in six games and that record is very important to us as we intend to win the league," he told Football365.co.za.
"I'm sure Platinum Stars have done their homework on us, but we have also done our homework on them, but I obviously I can't tell you what it is. We will see there, but one thing I can tell you is that we are going to throw everything we have at them.
"There is pressure to win the league and we can't run away from that, because it's been a long time since we won the league."
Bucs last won the league in the 2002/03 season, but Thwala believes they are close to being crowned champions again.
"We have to win it, because obviously the pressure is there. The good thing is that we have an assistant now in Craig Rosslee and that is a big boost for us," he concluded.
