Platinum Stars boss Steve Komphela was left seeking 'divine intervention' after his side lost 1-0 to Ajax Cape Town on Wednesday night.
The 'Tycoons' dominated the game, but were unable to convert their chances and they were made to pay when Dipsy Selolwane scored in the 76th minute to give the 'Urban Warriors' the three points.
"There are instances where you say I have done everything and nothing happens, you just have to raise your head look up to the sky and say goodness me save our soul," said Komphela after the game.
However, the former Free State Stars coach remains upbeat over his side's chances for the rest of the season and said that he would take some positives out of the game.
"If you play above yourself and create so many chances, I can't say anything, but I have to go back to the drawing board and encourage the players not to lose sight of the good work they did, the outcome of this match must not determine where they stand and where they have to go because they did tremendously well," he said after the game.
"I'm saying that we have to go and seek some divine intervention, this is not on.This has been the story of our last four games."
Stars have now lost four games in a row, but Komphela said that he would not hit the panic button.
"There is no pressure, I'm trying to remain calm because the minute you press the panic button, you going to change most of the correct things, so you have to be very professional and not allow emotions to get in front of you, so you can't see what you have been working on."
Got something to say?
