Free State Stars will hope to add to Platinum Stars' woes when the two teams meet for an Absa Premiership match at Goble Park on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 3.30pm).

The Free State side have not had the greatest start to the season themselves, recently parting ways with Brazilian coach Jose Valinhos. 'Ea Lla Koto' lie in 11th place on the log table with nine points to their name.

Free State Stars have won just one game this season, but in their last outing they claimed a creditable goalless draw with league leaders Orlando Pirates.

Platinum Stars are in a real slump and in desperate need of a positive result to kick start their 2009/10 season. They have lost their last five matches in succession and lie second from bottom on the log with six points.

The 'Tycoons' most recent outing was a 2-1 loss at home to Bloemfontein Celtic. At least Stars managed a goal in that game; they had not scored in their previous four Premiership matches.

The two teams have met just six times in the top flight since 2005/06. Free State Stars have won two games to Platinum Stars' one, with three matches ending all square.

In home matches for 'Ea Lla Koto' against the 'Tycoons', they have played three, won one, drawn one and lost one.

Last season the two teams played to goalless draws in both of their Absa Premiership matches.
