Ajax Cape Town striker Mabhuti Khenyeza has signed a contract with big-spending Absa Premiership side Mamelodi Sundowns thereby ending speculation about his next destination.

Prior to signing for Sundowns, Khenyeza was linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United and his former team Kaizer Chiefs.

"Khenyeza's move to Sundowns came about after Ajax Cape Town Chairman, John Comitis agreed to the terms offered by Sundowns President Patrice Motsepe," read a statement issued by Ajax.

"The player’s agent met with Sundowns earlier this week and Mabhuti agreed to personal terms offered," the statement continued.

Khenyeza scored 23 goals in all competitions in his first season for Ajax. His goal-scoring spree also helped Ajax to win the Telkom Knockout.
