Gavin Hunt, the SuperSport United head coach, is confident another 30 points in the second half of the season will ensure a third consecutive league title for his charges.
Hunt had told this website after the 1-all draw against Platinum Stars that he was targeting 30 points by the halfway mark and yesterday, while speaking to Football365.co.za after Matsatsantsa hammered Amazulu 4-2 at the Loftus stadium and achieving his set goal, Hunt said another 30 points will be enough to retain the title.
"We are not worried about the past, we worry about the future. If we can get 30 in the last 15 games then we are fine," he said.
"I don't worry about other teams! We worry about plotting our way forward, we set ourselves a target of 30 points in the first round and we managed to get that and if we get another 30 in the second round we will be happy about that," the Cape-born coach added.
The UEFA 'A' Licence graduate was, however, not impressed with the 4-2 score line.
"Look we scored the goals and got all the three points, but we got sloppy in the end. They were back in the game after we allowed them to score two goals which I believe we should have avoided. But in the end we managed to get the three points, which is fine. I'm a little upset though, because I know we could have won 4-0 and not 4-2," the hard to please mentor said.
Hunt attributed 'Usuthu's late fightback to Thandani Ntshumaelo's substitution when he was replaced by Hlompho Kekana after the former got injured.
"We were a bit disjointed when we were switching positions, because Thandani was going out, but that could have been done a lot faster to avoid the opposition capitalizing on that," he said.
