SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt has credited his side's success to the club's youth development structures, having lost many star players over the years.

'Matsatsantsa' have lost players like Teko Modise, Elias Pelembe, Siboniso Gaxa and Katlego Mashego but have produced equally good youngsters.

The SuperSport Tottenham Hotspur Academy has unearthed the likes of Masibusane Zongo, Kermit Erasmus and Thandani Ntshumayelo.

Hunt told the PSL's official website: "The past two seasons we have won the league but also lost quality players. Our youth system is working too and it is something we have to build on.

"If you take a player like Nengomasha and Tshabalala out of Chiefs you weaken that side, not this team. Our depth and quality were brutally tested but we still got good results.

"To me Pelembe has been the best player in the Premiership the past two seasons but look at what we are doing without him. He is an excellent player, the best, but we moved on."

Hunt's men are currently top of the league followed by Ajax Cape Town and Santos. The Absa Premiership coach of the month believes it's no mistake these club's in the top three.

"These clubs have excellent infrastructures (youth) and all three have performed consistently well the past two or three seasons.

"I mean look at who is on top. Is it by accident, by luck? I think not. Right now they're playing football the way it should be played."

"They have young players in the team, experienced young players and this is due to the youth structures they have. They (Ajax, Santos and SuperSport) are going to dominate local football for the next 10 years I tell you," he concluded.
