Moroka Swallows captain Lefa Tsutsulupa believes the FIFA international break came at the right time for the club.

The 'Birds' are languishing at 13th place in the league with five defeats, but Tsutsulupa is adamant they can turn the corner.

He told the league's official website: "This break was good for us. We had time to iron out problems and to work on it. As a team we know what is expected and as individuals we are committed to taking this club up to where it belongs.

"It is a cause for concern. This is not where we want to be."

The side made head ways at the start of the season signing Collins Mbesuma, Siyabonga Nomvete and Lungisani Ndlela, but the trio has been less than impressive in front of goals.

"We just cannot score and that is our biggest problem. But like I said we have worked hard this past week and we are focusing more on scoring than anything else.

"We have got to attack more. We can create chances but up front we just have to be ruthless. I have the utmost confidence that we'll hit our stride soon, we all are," he said.

Swallows' next game is against a wounded Maritzburg United and the midfielder wants his side to improve their form.

"We have to start collecting three points and we have to do this now. We can't afford to say it's still early in the season. For me it is too late.

"We cannot wait until the last 10 games to start fighting for points, that starts now."
