According to BBC Sport, Chile will attempt to keep Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo away from the ball in Wednesday's Confederations Cup semi-final in Kazan, says midfielder Marcelo Diaz. Ronaldo has scored twice thus far, with Bernardo Silva, Andre Silva and Nani contributing to the advancement of Portugal.
Diaz mentioned: "We all know [Ronaldo’s] an amazing player, he's very dangerous and can decide a game alone."
"He has had an amazing season. He's playing here with the same strength."
Although Ronaldo still faces uncertainty with Real Madrid after tax evasion accusations, Goal.com mentions that he is confident that Portugal can make it all the way in the Confederations Cup.
