Neymar’s potential move to Paris Saint-Germain has caused tension within the football world as teammates and supporters await the decision that, French newspaper Le Parisien reports, could be made official in the next few days. It was reported that the 25-year-old is available for over €222 million and is also the face of many brand names.
According to AFP, Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde dismissed the rumours surrounding Neymar, saying that the team wants him to stay.
He said: "This is a time of rumours. We understand it's how it is. He is with us right now. One of us. It's a player we love and we want. Not only football-wise, but also for the things he brings to the locker room.
"It's only rumours. There's no need to worry about something we don't know if it's going to happen or not. If it happens in the future, we'll see. But no need to worry about it now."
Teammate, Gerard Pique posted an image on Twitter of himself and Neymar, along with the message "Se queda,'' which translates as "he stays.”

According to Daily Mail, it is believed that Cristiano Ronaldo has also urged Neymar not to leave Barcelona to join a smaller team. He adds that if Neymar wishes to transfer, he should choose Manchester United as his destination instead.
With Neymar set to be present, Barcelona takes on Manchester United in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday.
