Neymar, who joined Paris Saint Germain following a record 222-million-euro transfer from Barcelona became Handicap International's first-ever ambassador at a ceremony at the United Nations in Geneva.
The colossal “Broken Chair” monument is located in the main square outside the UN's European headquarters as this event saw Neymar showing his skills, dribbling and kicking balls into the crowd below.
According to AFP, the 25-year-old told reporters that this opportunity of working with the organisation that advocates for the rights of disabled people marked "a unique moment" in his life.
Handicap International added that Neymar’s mandate would be advocate for the rights of "people with disabilities in poor countries, victims of natural disasters and conflicts."
He made his goalscoring debut with PSG on Sunday.
