It has been reported that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will face no further action from the English Football Association over his dismissal at Southampton.
Mourinho was sent off to the stands by referee Craig Pawson for stepping onto the pitch in stoppage time during their 1-0 win at St Mary's on Saturday.
It is said that Mourinho appeared to have accepted the referee’s decision without any further comment.
The FA therefore decided that no additional action was necessary after receiving the referee's report.
Cited by AFP, after the match the 54-year-old manager mentioned being bewildered by his red card, saying “I don't know.
"Craig told me to leave, and I left."
Meanwhile, fans at St Mary’s continued the chanting aimed at United striker Romelu Lukaku which relates to racial stereotypes on the size of black men’s genitalia.
AFP reports that the FA is taking no action at this stage.
