Everton manager David Moyes is poised to complete the signing of young American forward Cody Arnoux on a one-year contract.

Arnoux's switch to Goodison Park, which is subject to ratification from the FA, sees him move to Merseyside from Carolina Dynamo in his homeland.

The 21-year-old scored 13 goals in 16 games for Dynamo, who play in the fourth tier of football in the USA, and has been capped by his country at Under-18 level.

Arnoux's signing is regarded as one for the future and he will not immediately be part of David Moyes' first-team plans.

Instead, the former Wake Forest University ace will join Andy Holden and Alan Stubbs' reserves as they prepare for the new season.
