Moroka Swallows have for some time now now lived on the periphery of big time football in South Africa. Establsihing themselves as genuine a genuine big name in local soccer has not been easy, but the performances of players such as Japhet Zwane have made the transition that much easier.

Zwane is an uncomplicated footballer, but his mastery of the simple tenets of football have made him the anchor of Swallows football. Usually found on the left wing, Zwane combines an abundance of natural footballing talent with pace, vision and a superb touch when crossing, to provide the Birds with an extremely valuable all round asset.

His success with Swallows has not gone unnoticed, and Zwane made a very successful for debut for the national side against the Ivory Coast in an a qualifier for the African Cup of Nations.

With three caps for Bafana Bafana to his name, the attacking midfielder will be looking to further enhance an already established reputation. The former Manning Rangers man has played a significant role in turning Swallows into a more than competitive outfit; he will doubtless be keen to perform a similar role with the national side.
