This will be Los Catrachos second appearance at the World Cup, their last was in 1982 were they failed to make it out of the group stages despite draws to Spain and Northern Ireland.

Honduras secured qualification for the 2010 finals beating El Salvador 1-0 to take third place in their CONCACAF group behind group winners the USA and runners up Mexico, but crucially ahead of Costa Rica who they edged on goal difference.

The Hondurans can call upon experienced players like Wilson Palacios of Tottenham Hotspurs and Inter Milan forward David Suazo.

Coach: Reinaldo Rueda

Reinaldo Rueda took over the reigns of Los Catrachos following impressive stints in charge of the Colmbian under-17 and senior team. His time as coach of Honduras has been hailed as a overwhelming success.

Captain: Amado Guevara

Toronto FC attacking midfielder Amado Guevara holds the record for the most international caps and will look add to his record come 2010.
